Great question! Many builders start in school and then continue battling at real events around the country. Combat robotics competitions happen all year long, and there are weight classes designed especially for smaller robots like the ones you’re building now.
The best place to start is our Find Events page. It will help you discover upcoming competitions, learn what events are like, and see how you can bring your robot to the arena and battle other builders. Your first competition might be closer than you think!
That’s an awesome idea! Hosting a Turnabot tournament is easier than you might think. A typical competition with up to 32 competitors can run in about 2–3 hours, making it perfect for an after-school event or special robotics day.
For the best experience, we recommend 2–4 schools joining together and running matches across 4 arenas at the same time. This gives builders more drive time and more battles while keeping the total event short and exciting.
